Effective against: phosphate; ammonia; nitrite; nitrate; latent organic material (POM and DOM). Boosts biological activity during periods of elevated nutrient influx or biofilter interruption. About: In newly-established recirculating systems, application of Inocul8 rapidly establishes biological filtration, with emphasis on nitrifiers and denitrifiers, providing additional species which focus on remineralization of latent organic material and constituents thereof. In established recirculating systems, Inocul8 may be employed during periods of elevated ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate values. Reduced nutrient content is associated with: improved water clarity; improved growth rates; elevated ORP; reduced BOD, COD, DOM, POM, DIN, DON, PON. Regular application enables greater feeding frequency, improved nutrient management, and enhanced foam fractionation efficiency. Made in the USA. Keep container tightly closed between uses. Does not require refrigeration.
To inoculate: 1 g / 200 gal.; repeat once after 7 days. Always mix with system water (not purified water).
Maintenance: 1 g / 500 - 750 gal. weekly, or 1 g / 3,500 - 5,000 gal. daily. Monitor system nutrient balance. Adjust dosage accordingly.
Preparation: In a clean vesesel, mix the required mass of Inocul8 to be dosed with system water to form a fluid, liquid suspension; the exact ratio of water to Inocul8 in the suspension is not important. Dispense the suspension into an out-current water flow (such as near a pump exhaust) within the main body of the recirculating system (generally, this is the display portion of the system). Avoid dispensing the suspension within close proximity to skimmer intake ports. Do not dispense directly onto, or upstream from, cohort members.
Frequency of application: Frequent (i.e. daily) application of small volumes of the suspension yields superior results to lower-frequency, higher volume application. Depletion of available C, N, and P will negatively impact the growth of cohorts consisting in part, or entirely of, phototrophs; this includes zooxanthellae and zoochlorellae (in turn, impacting their respective symbionts), as well as plants and algae. Monitor and adjust nutrient concentrations to achieve desired cohort appearance and growth rate.
Ingredient Statement: Non-pathogenic, heterotrophic aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms, selected for aggressive reduction of DIN, DOM, and POM.
